I have been dancing since I was 8, when I started at Nicola's in 2006. I've taken regular exams in ballroom, latin and freestyle, as well as studying dance theory and in July 2014 I achieved my student teacherqualification. I also compete in ballroom and latin competitions across the country with my partner Aimee.

Some of my highlights of being at Nicola's include dancing for the Queen and performing in our shows, Tangled and Ballroom Blitz

I have a passion for dance and had my first lesson at 3. At the age of 8 I attended my first Ballroom, Latin class at Nicola’s School of Dance. Shortly after joining the school I took my first dance exam. After two years of working hard and achieving high marks in examinations, I was given the  opportunity of joining the medalist team at the school.

In 2013 I was given the opportunity to commence theory lessons in Ballroom and Latin enabling me to work towards my provisional teaching examination. I plan to continue to take both theory and practical exams to build on my knowledge and understanding.

I am very excited about working with the pupils and look forward to helping others grow as individuals through their dance.

All staff over 18 are fully CRB'd

Ed Owen

Business Manager & Drama Teacher - Associate Teacher of the UKA

The first time I can remember being on stage I played a King in a primary school play, I was hooked from that day on and have been involved ever since. I trained as a primary school teacher and have a BA honours in education. I have performed with the Bottleneck Theatre company in several shows and since 2015 I have been a principal in panto with HAPS at the Hereford Courtyard playing Kings, Princes and even the Dame!  I have been involved with the Hereford Scout Gang show since 1990 both on stage and in more recent years as the chairperson. The Charming Theatre Company has been set up as the Drama arm of the dance school.

I was stage manager for Nicola's School of Dance's first ever show 'Tangled' in 2013 and produced and staged managed our 10 year anniversary show Ballroom Blitz in 2016.  My skills and experience in the field will play an invaluable role in developing drama classes at the dance school.  I look forward to working with the children and inspiring them to have the same love of performing as I do and seeing the Charming Theatre Company grow.

Until recently I worked as the branch manager for HSBC in mid Wales which has given me experience in events management, corporate training, business development and HR. I look forward to transferring these skills to Nicola's School of Dance and developing exciting opportunities for the students.

I have been a member of Nicola's school of Dance since the age of 8 where I had my first lesson in freestyle. Since then, I became a member of Co-motion performance team at the age of 11.

I started ballroom and Latin classes when I was 13 and have been competing in these styles since 2013. My biggest achievements would be coming first in the Hereford competition in 2013 and 2015.

I am privileged to have been given the opportunity to take my provisional teachers examination in summer 2015. I am extremely looking forward to working closely with all of the fantastic children within the dance school, and I want to share my passion for dance with the children to inspire them, as Nicola has inspired me, to pursue their love of dance.

In September 2016 I became full time at the Dance School leading the Cheerdance section and also working in schools both curricular and extra curricular. I continue to work in our private classes teaching Ballroom, Latin and Freestyle dance

I have been dancing since the age of 5 years old and have taken regular dance exams in Ballroom, Latin and Freestyle as a child.  During my teenage years I travelled the length of the country every weekend to compete in Ballroom and Latin competitions.  As part of my training I was coached in South Wales, the West Midlands and Surrey by experts in the Ballroom world.  This enhanced my competitive career and through much hard work and dedication I was a regular finalist in National Competitions.  In addition I have represented Wales at International level.

I took my first teaching exam in 2005 and since then I have continued my professional development and become qualified by the United Kingdom Alliance of Dance Teachers to teach Ballroom, Latin, Freestyle, Cheer dance and more recently Hip Hop.  In addition I have a BSc Psychology degree and a postgraduate certificate in Special Education, which has enriched my ability to offer schools quality dance education.

Both my competitive experience and educational credentials have lead to the successful growth of the school over the years and I am proud that the school is now my full time occupation offering classes, private lessons, competitive training and school out reach work.

I joined Nicola's School of Dance when I was 8 years old, since 2010 I have been competing in medallist competitions with my partner Dominic. My highlights would be dancing for the Queen in 2012 and also dancing in our two shows Tangled and Ballroom Blitz.

I took my first teaching exam in 2015 and enjoy teaching pupils Ballroom, Latin, Freestyle and Cheer in classes and private lessons.

I first started dancing at the age of 10, by attending ballroom, latin and freestyle classes. I have regularly taken exams in these dance styles, and since the age of 13 I have also been a regular competitor at regional and national ballroom and latin competitions.

For the past couple of years I have been studying dance theory and taking exams in this. This allowed me to take my provisional teaching qualification in the summer of 2012, and since then I have become a student teacher at the dance school.
