Nicola’s School Of Dance is a UKA (United Kingdom Alliance) accredited dance school which is the dance association that the exams are affiliated. The school does exams twice a year and the children are continually working towards the next grade in the medal test system. The UKA exams are recognised internationally by the Council for Dance Education and Training and the British Dance Council.
At Nicola’s School Of Dance my aim is to make the medal tests enjoyable whilst motivating the children and giving them a real sense of achievement. A medal presentation afternoon follows each exam day where you and other family members will be invited to come and watch their performances. All exams are based on your child’s age and ability.
The timetable will be put on the website 2 weeks before the exams at www.nicolasschoolofdance.co.uk. Children are given an arrival time which is 15 minutes before their dance time. Children are grouped with their class and each exam slot takes no longer than 30 - 40 minutes. Payment will need to be made at no later than 1 week before the exams in order for entries to be processed, this is a requirement of the association. Information regarding what to wear and footwear can also be found on the website.
If you have any further questions about the medal test day please get in touch with a member of the team and someone we will be happy to help.
